Ornigami Christmas

Last week we had a very special origami night to make decorations for Heather's Christmas tree. Some of them were origami ornaments and some were other crafty ornaments. Other artsy endeavors were explored at the party as well. It was great having a nice warm creative party to break up the cold solitary Winter times. My contributions to the tree were a silver origami fish and a stuffed animal head.

Last Tuesday

When Heather and I were in London in September we attended a fabulous Autumn dance that was put on by the Last Tuesday Society. It was full of really splendidly dressed people dancing to classy music and there was a giant chocolate fountain that you could dip fresh fruit on a stick into. There was a photographer named Duilio Marconi there who took some pictures of us on the stairs. We just got them back from him, so I thought I'd share here.

It was a really great night. I highly recommend the Last Tuesday Society events to anyone in London. They will be having New Year's Eve events. Go.

Heather's Coat

I've been working on a coat for Heather recently. I finished sewing it last night!

Here's a picture of it before the buttonholes

These pictures were taken after all the sewing was complete.

These buttons are temporary. We are planning on casting metal buttons to match the belt.

The shell of the coat is hemp silk satin. The lining is microfiber fleece. It is insulated with PrimaLoft insulation. It is very warm!

I'll put up better pictures when we get the real buttons on it.

Asa's jacket

Recently I've been busy at the studio working on a jacket for Asa. It's done now!

This jacket was my first attempt at men's tailoring. It seems to have gone rather successfully.

Skeleton royalty in the post apocalyptic studio

Halloween came to my studio last night. I had been working on my Halloween jacket for two days, then suddenly there was a man in a gas mask and tuxedo watching me finish crafting. A zombie escorted my skeleton queen to me. And a cat scratched on my door and came in.

Mr. Violence and Terror helped my skeleton queen lace her corset.

The jacket is made out of duct tape and is lined with red tape.

After the studio we went to a show, then the diner.

good times.

My Birthday Black and Red Dress Up Tea Party

Last night Heather hosted a tea party in honor of my birthday.

We put together a lot of delicious, mostly vegan, snacks and delicacies. There was also chocolate cake and vegan pumpkin cheesecake.

Chris made a lot of the food. Here he is dipping red velvet cake in chocolate.

And of coarse we all looked fabulous!

I had a very lovely night. Thank you to everyone who made my birthday wonderful!
