Lots of crafty things have been going on lately.
Many masks have been made! Most of these masks were made on the vacuform machine. I made one of them out of duct tape.
I also made a life size, articulated paper doll costume:
And I exhibited at a craft fair, for the first time ever:
At Craft Night last night we started making stuffed animals to give to underprivileged children for the holidays. I made a little ghostie. He had fun snuggling with Jessica. Cute!

I've been working on lots of little accessories for the holiday season and they are all up on Etsy now.
There is a new paper doll out, Lady Leslie:
She is a wonderful companion to the set of paper dolls from my Living Doll House Collection
And I have a couple of new bags,
This one is made of plaid organic cotton with a red organic cotton lining and it matches the plaid suit from the Living Doll House Collection:
The black and white bag is made of a really cool rubber called Reprotek that is recycled automobile tires. It is scuff resistant, oil resistant and super tough! The bag is laced together using vintage laces and the lining is black organic cotton.
I've got a lovely whimsical new hair piece made out of vintage laces and scraps of silk georgette:
And new necklaces! All made out of vintage bits and bobs and pieces of broken jewelry:

Living Dolls wearing Rachael Reichert clothes inside a life size dollhouse constructed out of recycled materials.
When women wear Rachael Reichert dresses they are transformed. Creating this installation is my way of expressing the contrast between women in plainclothes and women in my clothes. I am comparing my models to dolls, objects made to be perfect expressions of female beauty that spend their lives pristinely made up and wearing gowns. The deeper understanding of this exhibition is that fashion can be a vessel for transformation and escapism without being a crude costume.

I've been super busy working on my collection for the past few months! The show is a few weeks away: October 7th! The collection is getting near completion, but there is still much work to be done. Here's a few preview photos, but the rest is secret till the clothes have their debut at the fashion show!
